This innovative method synthesizes hollow titanium dioxide nano-spheres with high antimicrobial capacity and a broad spectrum of application, ranging from food to the disinfection of surgical instruments and hospital rooms. In contrast with other known methods such a electro-deposition, in-situ synthesis or freeze-unfreeze cycles, it is better at handling the residues from the synthesizes process, less complex and economic. It is a most effective method than antibiotics due to the rose of resistance in bacterias.
A sterilization method is proposed using hollow titanium dioxide nano-spheres, known for their strong antimicrobial capacity and wide spectrum. The preparation involves two stages, combining electrospraying (EP) and atomic layer deposition (ALD) techniques, in addition to thermal treatment including calcination, to remove the polymer from the interior of the nanostructure. This innovative approach can be applied in food, household cleaning, hospital, dental, or veterinary instruments, offering an effective and versatile solution against microbial agents.
