Reducing waste, complying with regulatory standards and the sustainable use of products from Brazilian biodiversity are just some of the challenges facing the food and beverage industry.
To support the sector on these and many other issues, the team at the SENAI Institute of Innovation and Technology in Food and Beverage provides metrology, research, development and innovation (RD&I) services for the food industry. Some examples are shelf life assessment, sanitary analysis, microbiological testing, regulatory compliance and the development of technologies for production lines.

Details of the Technology Offer

The SENAI Institute of Food and Beverage Technology offers various services and products, including fish testing, animal health testing, new beverage testing with yeasts, chromatographic, allergenic, toxicity and metal testing on meat products. It will also develop formulations and new products, labeling, Food Defense consultancy, ISO 22000:2005 consultancy, halal certification consultancy, thermal validation of cooking ovens, grain testing and a milk laboratory. It operates in meat and meat products, milk and milk products, water and effluents, raw materials and ingredients for animal feed, honey, eggs, teas and herbs, juices, vinegar and beverages. It provides services to 11 countries and is certified by Inmetro, Anvisa, the Ministry of Agriculture (Brazil) and Remeq.
