Summary of the technology

We want to actively shape the change in how the restaurant, hotel and hospitality industry orders consumption-automated liquid goods and commodities to offer the customer a more sustainable and cost-efficient supply chain. We focus on making our products simple and easy to use on site (Plug & Play), maximising the digitisation and automation of our services, and engaging local suppliers to make our planet a better place. The Problem

What does a hotel, restaurant, office with free water and a passionate gas griller have in common?
Right, no one knows how much liquid is left inside the cylinder and when it is most appropriate to reorder.

That's why we came up with the idea to create GasVisor - an intelligent service for the consumption-based, sustainable and automated reordering of liquids.

Our Solution

Let’s meet GasVisor! Through digitalisation and automation, we are helping European hotels, restaurants, and gastronomies to save time and money in their supply of bottled gas.
With the help of our app-based service for a consumption and automated reordering of gas cylinder we strive to use the resources we put into circulation more efficiently and thus contribute to greater sustainability.

  • When and where you want it! - Fill levels can be called up online at any time and demand can be easily automated.

How It Works

For the GasVisor service, we use our preconfigured smart sensor to measure the remaining level of your attached gas cylinder. Once installed and connected to your WiFi, our Plug & Play device sends the data to your personal GasVisor account and displays the current level(s) intermittently. In order to offer you the maximum convenience and to waste as few resources as possible, you can easily monitor your gas level(s), order new cylinders on time or automatically and book additional services directly through our app.

Our solution not only helps to make processes more efficient, but also makes a significant contribution to saving CO2 by reducing unnecessary stock and optimising the Gas suppliers routes.

“Oh yes, I know that problem... during my apprenticeship at a 5 STAR Hotel in MunichI always had to take care of that [estimating how much is left inside the cylinders]. Therefore, every day I weighed the bottles and had to write everything down to find out when we had to order new bottles or change the bottles. Idefinitely don't miss that about the apprenticeship.”

"Ah... with the years and the experience I can figure it out and estimate that by now... I lift the thing [gas cylinder] up every few days and can then roughly estimate how long it will last. Most of the time we have a lot of bottles in reserve anyway, but I need to change this due to the increased costs.”

2. Onboarding new team members to proof the prototype (by mid June)
3. Investment opportunites for munich based GAS companies (Beg. of July)
4. Building the prototype and necessary IT for an MVP including registering the patent (by the end of this year)

About GasVisor

Gastimate is a research project of three young students of the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE) at the University of Applied Sciences Munich and focuses on the development of a consumption-automated platform for a more sustainable and cost-efficient ordering of liquid goods and commodities, such as gas bottles, beer kegs and other dispensing containers. We want to offer our customers in the hospitality, service and industrial sectors a service that not only leads to lower process and capital commitment costs, but is also the easiest and most sustainable way to get liquid goods and commodities delivered in a consumption-automated way.
