Details of the Innovation Need

A device that can rapidly (ideally real-time) detect bacteria, yeasts, and molds in consumer products in less than 12 hours at an affordable cost at a sensitivity of <10 CFU/g.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Non-culture-based method
  • High sensitivity: <10 CFU/g
  • Nonfilterable samples such as face cream, toothpaste, shampoo etc.
  • High throughput > 100 samples per day per 1 set of devices.
  • Cost-effective: running cost of less than 10USD/sample
