Desired outcome
Seeking safe and effective outdoor mosquito solutions to help consumers enjoy their yard and outdoor spaces without the annoyance and inconvenience of mosquito bites.
Mosquitos are a common nuisance and disease spreading insect. In addition to being vectors of disease, one of the main reasons we want to tackle this pest is to allow people to enjoy outdoor activities more frequently – e.g., eating outside, spending time with family, and watching outdoor sporting events. Here in P&G Ventures, we are looking for existing, in market solutions which exist globally that are specifically designed to kill or repel mosquitos.
Details of the Innovation Need
We are looking for solutions that are:
- In-market products for outdoor mosquito solutions.
- Or, patented solutions which exist and which are not yet in market. .
- And, solutions which are regulatory compliant – technology owners have a solid understanding of the regulations on the technologies, ideally the solutions are FIFRA-compliant.
We are not looking for solutions that are:
- Devices with no consumable component.
- Non-regulated technologies à owner needs to provide a detailed background on how the technology is regulated, whether it is by FIFRA standards or a different set of standards.
- Technology with no proven efficacy data.
- Unvalidated/unproven ideas – proposals must have some available validation in other fields.
